Jazz at Jardin's |

The quartet has been jamming and performing together since the late 1980s. Acoustic and electric bass player Dick Dozier and his wife Dody Dozier find a common passion in jazz. Percussionist Dave Jarvis is the Director of Percussion Studies at Washington State University, is the Principal Percussionist with the Oregon Coast Music Festival Orchestra, and has performed with various noted jazz artists. Horace Alexander Young is also a member of the WSU Music Faculty, and adds saxophone, flute, and jazz vocals to the ensemble. Wednesday, July 27, at 6:00 p.m. Black Market Gourmet Food Center, Coos Bay All tickets $50, and include hors d'oeuvres and dinner. Jardin Kazaar, also known as Chef Jardin, has been in the Pacific Northwest for over 12 years now. Like many urban transplants, Jardin has assimilated well into a slower, somewhat gentler lifestyle. But that does not mean that he has slowed down. Chef Jardin continues to provide elegant and wonderful food through his catering service and his specialty gourmet food products. This evening’s concert will include Chef Jardin’s selection of hors d'oeuvres and dinner (vegetarian option is available). Hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. The Dozier-Jarvis-Young Quartet concert will follow dinner. Jardin Kazaar,
