Darrell Grant and "One O'clock Jump"

Critically-acclaimed jazz pianist Darrell Grant introduces his new “One O’Clock Jump” project which harks back to the joyous 1950's era of jazz.   Featuring instrumentals drawn from the celebrated piano trios of Ahmad Jamal, Eroll Garner and Oscar Peterson, Grant and company also pay homage to the memorable jump jazz vocal sound of the Nat Cole Trio, Louis Jordan, Louis Prima and Ray Charles. 

"One O'Clock Jump" features Grant on piano and vocals, guitarist Dan Gildea and New Yorker Dennis Caiazza on bass and vocals.

Jardin Kazaar, also known as Chef Jardin, has been in the Pacific Northwest for over 12 years now. Like many urban transplants, Jardin has assimilated well into a slower, somewhat gentler lifestyle. But that does not mean that he has slowed down.  Chef Jardin continues to provide elegant and wonderful food through his catering service and his specialty gourmet food products. 

This evening’s concert will include Chef Jardin’s selection of hors d'oeuvres and dinner (vegetarian option is available).   Hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m.  The Darrell Grant and One O’Clock Jump concert will follow dinner.
